Since February, the mainstream acetone factories in China have raised the listing price for many times, which strongly supported the market. Affected by the continuous tight supply in the current market, petrochemical enterprises have actively raised the listing price for many times, with a cumulative increase of 600-700 yuan/ton. The overall operating rate of the phenol and ketone factory was 80%. The phenol and ketone factory lost money in the early stage, which was boosted by the tight supply, and the factory was very positive.
The supply of imported goods is insufficient, the port stock continues to decline, and the domestic supply of goods in some regions is limited. On the one hand, the inventory of acetone at Jiangyin Port is 25000 tons, which continues to drop by 3000 tons compared with last week. In the near future, the arrival of ships and cargoes at the port is insufficient, and the inventory of the port may continue to decline. On the other hand, if the contract volume in North China is exhausted near the end of the month, the domestic resources are limited, the supply of goods is difficult to find, and the price rises.
As the price of acetone continues to rise, the downstream multi-dimensional demand for replenishment is maintained. Because the profit of the downstream industry is fair and the operating rate is stable as a whole, the demand for follow-up is stable.
Overall, the short-term continuous tightening of the supply side strongly supports the acetone market. Overseas market prices are rising and exports are improving. The domestic resource contract is limited near the end of the month, and the traders have a positive attitude, which keeps pushing up the sentiment. The domestic downstream units started steadily driven by profits, maintaining the demand for raw materials. It is expected that the market price of acetone will continue to be strong in the future.
